Phil Gaetano has 25 years of business and human resources management experience garnered in cutting-edge HR environments and market leading companies. He is a trusted advisor and business partner to executives, translating HR strategies and practices into financial results. Phil's HR knowledge and business acumen allows him to establish and guide a visionary and pragmatic mission for an organization's Human Resources.
Over the course of his career, Phil led in companies regarded for best-in-class human resources management and operating performance. He served as the Chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer in Fortune 500 companies, and led HR for companies voted: “World’s Best Managed”, “Most Admired”, and “Best Places to Work.” His companies include: PepsiCo, General Electric, Marcam Software, Alumax, and International Flavors and Fragrances. He's led teams on 6 continents, in over 55 countries.
As a Consultant, Phil acts as the interim head of human resources for companies, providing leadership to drive the CEO’s vision and increase the business contributions of HR professionals. He works with CEOs and their teams to achieve the company's mission through people, organization, and culture. He aligns HR with business strategy and operating plans, instills management best practices, and guides organization change to accelerate results. He is an expert in applying analytics, process design, and Six Sigma to drive improvement.
A former college athlete, Phil maintains strong team values and a passion for excellence. He is a graduate of Winthrop University with an MBA and an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Phil is married to Laura 25 years and they have three sons. All are involved in church, community, and sports activities. Phil is a lifelong baseball enthusiast, as a player, fan, and coach of his sons’ teams. He also enjoys golf and skiing.
